About the Author

Alvin E. Jordan Sr. A lifetime of storytelling.

Born on Dallas' West Side, Alvin E. Jordan Sr. discovered his love of writing as a fifth-grader. Poetry was his first passion, and he carried a notebook called "Poems From A to Z", filled with poems he had written himself.

By thirteen, he had written his first short story. At sixteen, Jordan discovered journalism through the Dallas Boys' Club and its in-house newspaper, The Boys' Club Bugle, an experience that helped him develop his own writing style.

His journey later took him through college, English studies, education and sixteen years working with children. Along the way, he also pursued another passion, competing as an amateur boxer for twenty years.

The Pied Piper

A storyteller returns to writing.

Working with children helped bring Jordan back to storytelling. His experiences as an educator strengthened his appreciation for the power of imagination and the way a simple story can capture a child's attention and create an entire world within their mind.

His early creations included The Tales of Prince Jack, which became the gateway to his first play, The Magic Muffin.

That journey ultimately led to The Pied Piper, a story inspired by the joy of imagination, curiosity and the timeless magic of storytelling.
